Hard to believe that I did not make it to church today due to the Doctors instruction of bed rest. This was the second time ever since I came to this country!

Just wanted to write and express my deepest appreciation to each one of you for your overwhelming get well messages. Since Wednesday, I have received e-mails and telephone calls from every corner; leave alone both hospital and home visitation that has surprised my children. The flowers and get well cards have truly humbled me.

Many keep on telling me how luck I am to be alive. I have been made aware that blood clots are a 1 minute killer! “Why me dear Lord!” has been the cry of my heart. Instead of the “why me Lord,” of whining and complaining, the current “Why me Lord!,” has been of appreciation. What good have I done to deserve another lease? The Lord knows. Mine is to do His daily bidings at whatever cost.

I am gaining my strength, but slowly. All keep on reminding me to rest. Apparently everyone seems to know my problem-always on the move.

This past week, our community-the Twin Cities,Minnesota, has been hit hard with so many tragedies. Much as I would have loved to accompany others in comforting them, my poor health would not allow.

My prayers and thoughts are with all those who are mourning. My thanks and deepest appreciation to all those who have ministered to me in one way or the other.

Let us keep on praying for another.
