It is quite interesting the way Kenyan politicians are reacting to Ocampo investigation. Some have already concluded that he is targeting Kikuyus yet what he has asked are minutes of security meeting. We as Kenyans care less whether those being targeted are Kikuyus OR not. What we want is that those whose caused us trouble and those who financed the post election violence should be held responsible, whether they are Kikuyus, Indians, Kalenjins, Kisii, Luos na kadhalika.
The Government has all along promised to cooperate with ICC. Let them cooperate and leave kila mtu abebe msalaba wake.
Lastly, I’m thinking that this new katiba was passed so as to say ‘the new katiba has machinery to deal with post election offences and so Ocampo can leave us alone’. This could have been the hidden agenda on why ithe new katiba was vigorously campaigned for by some elements in Government. They way they have gone into panic implies that they may know exactly what they did during those dark days.
the minutes of the security meeting is not a Kikuyu affair,unless the want to personalize the issues. To make it worse they have time and again been told to promote equality in the department ,but in vain .so they should carry their own tribal agenda and tell us why they killed inocent Kenyans in the name of greed
I have never known that being a kikukyu makes someone super kenyan as the authors of this highly inflammable story would want readers to believe. we are all kenyans and whoever made others suffer during 2007 &2008 should be held accountable to his/her wrongful deeds , his or her tribe notwithstanding . Fellow countrymen &women let us leave the investigation work to ICC because continued engagement in reckless talk erodes our togetherness as a nation in the eyes of our neighbours and international friends.
The Ocampo agenda is clear those of us who are medling about nothing should stop it because kenya is not that of yesterday.kenyans have all the right to be in kenya and not as the IDPs in their own coutry.GO AHEAD AND DO ‘THE BIG FISH’we will do the small onces locally
