Once upon a time there lived a president who ruled a country called Kenya. That President could at times pass for a person with a Bi-polar disorder. This is so because there are many words that came out of his mouth which were really nice, yet what his actions were, were a complete opposite of what his words were.
I remember one time, in one of his many addresses to the Citizens he paused to ask, ” Wewe Muafrica, Nan Napenda wewe?” This question was a question meant to probe deep the intellect of the Citizen for them to understand that, As Africans no other race had sympathy or love for them. He believed that many of his citizens had the mistaken notion that, they were loved by other Countries and in particular the Western world Countries which masquerade as though they had the interest of Africans at heart, yet the reality was that non of these Western World Nations would truly ever love any African.
When he posed this question to the Citizens, it took me a few minutes to absorb what he was saying, but when I got the meaning, I came to the mistaken realization that the man had the Citizens at his heart. As such I wanted to believe that he would do everything in his powers to bring this change that Muafrica was yearning for.
To my surprise, later on, I was to witness this man use some very negative policies that killed any democratic freedom and space that the Citizens needed. The trend then degenerated to exploitation of the Citizen to unimaginable proportions.
It is this exploitation of the African that made me remember the phrase “Wewe Muafrica; nani napenda wewe,” when I came across a very serious situation of extreme exploitation in the jungles of DCR (Democratic Rpublic de Congo). In these Jungles, the Western world has chosen to exploit the Citizens of the Congo (Moto se Congo). And Yes,…… Nani napenda wao. Mzungu kazi yake ni kunyonya na kuwadanganya eti amewaletea dini. Haya, fuata link na ujionee.
When will Africa ever wake up and see all this. Right at the moment in time China is cheating some Government officials with little tokens to hypnotize Kenya for exploitation, where they are given contracts to build roads etc, all over the Country. Is it really impossible for our Engineers to do this?
