Even though there are those who may assign the word “Excessive,” to the world of relatives, there comes a time when there is compelling evidence that some things are just excessive! Reflect with me on the following:
1.There are people out there who have too much clothes and/or shoes! But how can one tell! I have heard stories of people who have too much such that it becomes a real headache to choose what to wear to church, school,or other functions. Just think of 300 pairs of shoes!
2.There are people out there who have too much money in the bank. The problem of such people is not money but how to spend it!
So what’s the problem?
1.There are people out there who are in dire need of basic needs-food, shelter,clothes, etc.
2.There are many children who are in need of school fees!
3.The work of God on earth is in need of funds! There are many congregations like ours-Maranatha SDA Church-that are in need of funds to buy our God a house of worship!
And so my challenge to you and I is this!
1.Have we been faithful stewards-returning to our God a faithful tithe!
2.For those of us who go to church, how do we respond to the many financial needs of our church! Ever thought of sacrificing more clothes and shoes so as to help the church of God!
3.Ever thought about the needy out there!
