Whenever I hear Hon. Kajwang singing “bado mapambano” on TV and Youtube, and Karua correcting him in parliament about Jurisprudence, I have always assosiated him with reform but he has failed in the quest of reforming his ministry. I stand to be corrected if mine is an isolated case.
In October 2008, I innvited my mum to travel to US for my graduation which was to be held on December 12. She applied for the passport then, and as I write this, the graduation came and went, the passport is not issued out yet and no idea when it will be issued. The song at Nyayo House was, “come next week on Friday” and my mapambano man has failed in this kupambana na uongo wa his juniors.
I hate the word corruption and the vice itself, but did this guys expect a bribe to process the application, or is it normal for a passport to take 3months? My fellow Kenyans how long are we going to continue being oppressed under the watch of our government?
Anybody with some help or some phone numbers I can call for my mom to get her passport?
Sincerely,
Amos Gakobo Kibara

Don’t Delude yourself Amos. There are no reformists in Kenya. Just Opportunists.

That’s it Wambua. kenya is cursed! We have brilliant political theorists who believe they are better than anyone else. Give them leadership and they are tanatalised at the power they have. Look at Prof Kibwana. he went to parliament on a reform platform but became a sycophant par excellece. Look at James Orengo. He was before 2007 a pro-change politician, reformist. He promised to reform the Lands ministry. We are waiting.! Paul Muite was in Parliament for over a decade, a pro-democracy advocate, a 2nd liberation hero. I do not remember anything he did that made Kenya better than it was during the Moi era. Raila Odinga has fought and suffered for democracy and good governance. Looks like the PNU-ODM marriage has silenced him!
So, wambua we are in cycle of endless political circuses in Kenya. Shout “dictatorship, bad governance, corruption, tribalism”, get elected and immediatelt forget all these catchy words as soon as you are the wielder of power.
I say: Kenya is forever cursed wih lack of leaders. May the God Almighty help Kenya find a true, patriotic, selfless leader for us.
Mathias.
