AKR Moving Forward

Dear All,

Following concerns from many Kenyans about AKR’s future , a meeting was held on Tuesday evening between the outgoing Ex. Committee and some Kenyans elected at a social gathering at Grill and Barbecue last Saturday.

Several resolutions were passed in our meeting which will be communicated to you soon.

Key among the resolutions was that the current executive committee will create room for a team of moderators to normalize the membership list and to facilitate the election. By this email we kindly request all Kenyans to grant the team cooperation and to support them with ideas and recommendations on the way forward.

The members of the team are Joseph Manzi, James Kingori, Kepher Usenge, Julius Keter, Berry Odhiambo, Lilian Onyango and Anne Kimani

On behalf of the current executive committee I would like to thank all those who took their time to attend our monthly meetings, our sports day, our tree planting exercise and most of all our fund raising exercise.

I also take this opportunity to thank KCB for their support of our website which is hosted at www.kenyansinrwanda.net and request a volunteer to assist in updating and posting content to it. I also thank the Kenyans who made us wiser by their speeches Robert Mathu of CMA , Prof Njoroge of KIE and those who supported us through sponsorship of the Monthly Mbuzi and other events of the association.

On behalf of my team, and those who have kept AKR alive in the past we are grateful and look forward to engage you and friends of Kenya again after seeking a democratic mandate from you.
