Kenya: Ocampo claims Uhuru-Mungiki link …//… Iteere heads to Uganda over Migingo standoff

from Judy Miriga

Folks,

Read the attachments, watch the videos, connect the dots and ask yourself, why is there civil war with too much pain and sufferings amongst Kenyans during election time? Who wants to hold on to remain in power, and who is behind financing the Mungiki? ….more or so, why fund Mungiki instead of the Official Government paid Armed Forces…. ….It is a long story and you must connect the dots people……….Yes, you must allow the small brain processor to pick up……

Is it right to finance Mungiki and incorporate it within the Kenya Police Force, so they take the front line in all activities of Kenya’s security…..??? Is this right…..???

Is it right to bring back Wetangula even without concluding investigation from allegations made on him reason for his being laid off…… Wetangula has been brought back to continue in the defrauding Kenyans through the International Foreign Mission…..why the International NGOs and Foundations are the facilitators for the Special Interest network……….

Cant we question about Yala Community problem with Calvin Burgess Dominion Farm, the threats, his political and business connection with PM Raila (Specter, Molasses and Dominion Farms in business partnership)…..reason why, Siaya and Luo Nyanza Local Community have excessive poverty and conflicting problem……???? Who is playing the game to defraud the Luo community from dignified livelihood and survival but is hinding undercover, it is ICC Hague who will help unvail…..!!!

Dont Kibaki and PM Raila therefore jointly with all these case scenarios have a case for violation and crime against human Rights…..???……..This is why the United Nations Security Council, with World Leaders, must join with us to force Kibaki and Raila to disolve Coalition Government and they be answerable to the Hague for Violation and Crime against Human Rights……..

During the investigation of election gone bad during 2007/8 and the National Reform Accord Agenda, it was agreed that the Kenya Police (Administration Police) played an important role in killing and terrorizing Kenyans, that it should be disbanded and dissolved, so new fresh recruits be employed, but this did not happen, instead the Administration Terrorizing Police were reinforced under Iteere and some were sent to a Mission in Uganda and dispatched back, to Migingo and Lake Victoria, some were seen in and around Siaya and Kisumu terrorizing transportations and cars in the region. Others were stationed at Prime Ministers Home in Bondo as well as were stationed at Dominion Farms……..

Now to solve the puzzle……..Al Shabaab, Somali Pirating, Mungiki, Migingo, Lake Victoria, Dominion and Osienala, Gadaffi interests and election gone bad 2007/8………is all connected to International Corporate Special Interest business community………facilitated by Chinese, Indians and International NGOs and FUNDED BY IMF AND WORLD BANK……. ICC HAGUE MUST STAY THE COURSE……and act positively……

Are there significant connection with Civil War and Ethnical cleansing in Kenya during the electioneering time….??? Is there something these unchanging politicians have in common, which all of them enjoy and want things to remain the way they are for the Status Quo……while terrorizing the poor pushing them to SLAVERY…….???

If that is the case, are they then, Connected with the International Corporate Special Interest business community and the IMF in this network of Cartels and Cohorts, why the Religious Group including the Congressman Pat Robertson was involved in opposing and financing the Referendum from taking place…..??? Do they have connection with the mushrooming Pentecostals with Tea Partiers and other International NGOs in Kenya…..??? ………How about sympathizers of special interest employees at the United Nations Agencies, do they have a take in aiding Special Interests towards Human destruction, pain and Sufferings in Kenya and Africa…….???

From reading the attachments, what would you say about these Kenyan Political actors in your own views and from perspective of facts……are these things new or are they traditional repetition…..??? …….Dont we all agree that ICC Hague is the place we can find answers to the puzzle……??? where it will open avenues and cause the hidden truth to surface, so we can get to the bottom of all these problems including WHO is WHO at the IMF and the World Bank with International Special Interests, who plan for Africans destruction and merciless continuous and endless killings……..??? Dont Africans have a right to know why there is a conspiracy to wipe them out of the face of the earth…..???

Are we not being treated to an endless roller coaster of Corruption, Graft and Impunity, coated with excessive deepening intimidation and manipulation through fear factor and of terrorism to unsuspecting public…??? This is a fact of the whole case scenario, where their ultimate goal is to push the helpless and poor to the corner of bottomless poverty and hopelessness…..so that their mission agenda of Human Pain and Sufferings, through Corruption Impunity and Graft, can go on undeterred……..Folks, we must not keep quiet……..We must get to the bottom of the facts…….We demand proof and evidence through Transparency and accountability…..This is a mission of “Man Eat Man Society”…….that which does not care to empathize for fairly Mutual Concern benefit for all…..

From all we have witness, these Special Interest Political Agents do not care to take their Leadership Responsibility seriously according to PUBLIC MANDATE…..to deliver services according to People’s Needs and Demand, as per the REQUIREMENTS AT THE REFERENDUM SEALED WITH OATHTAKING AT THE PROMULGATION CEREMONY,…….. in the hope under Unity of Purpose, to share-in-Love, and in the event to connect in a mission to offer Peace based in common goodwill of all…..this however, became just an ordinary show event without any significant……

As usual, they are after serving International Special Interests through “Intellectual Property Thieving” Why so…..???……..It is because they Do Not Respect, value, honor Human Rights Dignity……??? This is the whole purpose why ICC Hague is relevant, where voices of reason will make some sense in matters of Human Rights…….and equally so that the poor man’s voice of pain and sufferings can be legally heard and the problem conclusively fixed………and also, to sound cautionary objectives heads up, we can begin to see things differently and effectively dialogue to better improve lives amicably under Mutual democratic rule of governance fair Justice to all.

Kenya: Minister Assures Libyan Assets Safe
Benjamin Muindi
1 September 2011

Libyan assets in Kenya are safe, the government has said.

Foreign Affairs minister Moses Wetang’ula said the property would be protected and transferred to the new government yet to be formed.

Speaking after meeting US ambassador Jonathan Scott Gration on Thursday, Mr Wetang’ula said the property would be treated as sovereign investment.

“This will naturally translate to the new legitimate Libyan authorities,” he said.

Some of the Libyan assets in Kenya are Oil Libya and Laico Regency Hotel in Nairobi.

At the same time, the ministry’s political and diplomatic secretary, Mr Patrick Wamoto, said the Sunday attack on embassy premises in Tripoli was not politically motivated.

“We will not read much into the attack because the entire neighbourhood hosting other countries was destroyed as well. There has been no policing going on there and it is obvious that the rebels raided the exclusive residential area not for political reasons,” Mr Wamoto said.

On Sunday, gunmen invaded and ransacked the chancery and assaulted a woman employee.

Foreign Affairs assistant minister Richard Onyonka confirmed the attacks and said they were motivated by general lawlessness in Tripoli.

This occurred as Kenya said it did not recognise the rebels fighting Mr Muammar Gaddafi’s loyalists.

The government said it had not recognised National Transitional Council (NTC), the political wing of the rebels who have literally flushed deposed Gaddafi out of Tripoli.

Mr Wetang’ula said only political dialogue between the warring parties could resolve the crisis in Libya.

Future prospects

“Kenya has not recognised the NTC. Considering prevailing circumstances and future prospects of peace in Libya, we advocate for political dialogue.

“Only a political solution will resolve the situation and restore peace, democracy, respect for human rights, the rule of law and reconciliation,” he said.

The two were discussing the African Union engagement in Libya.

Last week, Internal Security minister George Saitoti, who was acting for Mr Wetang’ula, said Kenya was willing to work with the NTC to restore order in the country.

Prof Saitoti said Kenya would help initiate reconciliation and national cohesion, restoring infrastructure and reviving the economy.

“Kenya stands ready to work with the people of Libya, the African Union and the international community to help build a new Libya,” the minister said.

He had asked the interim authorities to establish political dialogue with the AU and international community.

Kenya: Now Govt Wants Libya Talks
31 August 2011

Kenya does not recognise the rebels fighting to dethrone Libyan strongman Muammar Gaddafi.

The Foreign Affairs ministry said in a statement it had not recognised the Libya National Transitional Council (NTC), the political wing of the rebels who have literally flushed the long serving Libyan leader out of the capital, Tripoli.

The government maintained that only political dialogue between the warring parties could resolve the political crisis in the northern African nation.

“The impression that Kenya has recognised the NTC is inaccurate. In consideration of the prevailing circumstances and future prospects of peace in Libya, Kenya advocates for political dialogue that culminates in the formation of an all-inclusive transitional governing authority for the Libyan people,” the statement read.

“In line with the AU roadmap for Libya, Kenya believes that only a political solution will resolve the situation and fulfil mutually reinforcing objectives of peace, democracy, respect for human rights, the rule of law and reconciliation that are critical to sustainable peace,” the statement went on.

Many African nations have been reluctant to recognise the Libyan rebels, with Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe expelling the Magreb country’s ambassador for disowning Gaddafi and recognising the TNC.

Harare had earlier pledged to pardon envoy Taher El Megrahi if he hoisted Colonel Gaddafi’s flag at the mission.

Last week, acting Foreign Affairs minister George Saitoti, said Kenya was willing to work with Libya’s interim authorities in restoring the country.

Prof Saitoti said Kenya would cooperate in restoring order, forging reconciliation and national cohesion, restoring infrastructure and reviving the economy.

“Kenya stands ready to work with the people of Libya, the African Union and the international community to help build a new Libya,” Prof Saitoti said in a statement and asked the interim authorities to establish political dialogue with both the AU and international community.

“With the impending collapse of the regime of Col Muammar Gaddafi, Kenya urges that all efforts be exerted for the early restoration of peace and stability in Libya,” he said.

Kenya: Police Monitoring Pirates-Linked Company

Dominic Wabala
29 August 2011

Security and intelligence organisations including the Kenya Police are keenly monitoring the operations of a foreign-led company in Nairobi accused of delivering ransom money to pirates in war-torn Somalia.

Both international and local intelligence and security organisations don’t know whether to treat Salama Fikira Ltd as a pirates’ accomplice or a strategic partner who will give them information on the faces behind spiralling piracy.

A representative of the company who responded to a call on mobile number +254715453396 said he had no comment on their operations in Somalia. “I won’t comment on something like that. On that I can only say no comment,” the representative replied. He was responding to a question about their botched operation to deliver US $3.6 million to pirates in May and their subsequent arrest and detention by Somalia Government officials.

The company is reported to offer crisis and emergency project management for international shipping companies, risk audit, advice and mitigation for corporate clients including resource exploration, security project management, guide and protection services for visitors to the region and management of reconciliation and disarmament workshops to its East African, Indian Ocean islands, Horn of Africa and Great Lakes region.

Andrew served for three years as UK’s Regional Counter-Terrorism adviser and manages Britain’s peace-building capacity programmes in Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sudan, Rwanda, Tanzania and the Indian Ocean islands. There are six employees and pilots including an American, two Britons and two Kenyans working for the security company arrested on May 24, 2011 by Somalia Transnational Federal Government officials at Aden Adde International Airport with duffel bags containing $3.6 million after flying from Nairobi to deliver ‘humanitarian aid’ in two Wilson Airport based aircraft.

The aircraft, a Cessna Citation jet and Cessna Caravan, are reported to have transitted through Mogadishu Airport four previous times on unspecified missions. The Britons arrested were identified as Andrew Oaks and Alex James. The money was said to be for payment of ransom for two pirate-held ships namely MV Suez and MV Yuan Xiang but was seized by the Somalia government and deposited to the Central Bank of Somalia.

Although the six and the two aircraft were later released, the money remains seized by Somalia authorities. The company boasts of having Ac 130 Hercules aircraft, up to five Boeing 737S, four Cessna Citation Bravo jets, four Beechcraft King Airs, three Cessna Caravans and a Eurocopter to assist it in its operations. The company says that these are well positioned to respond to short notice requirements like conducting emergency and medical evacuation, logistical re-supply of both passengers and freight, air drop resupply and reconnaissance.

According to its website, the company has also offered its services to diplomatic missions in the country, an international oil and gas exploration company near the Kenya-Somalia border, close protection and escort work for high value tourists and commercial visitors to countries in the region including Somalia.

Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta will be required to explain his association with Mungiki, if any, when his case starts at the International Criminal Court in September.

The Finance Minister, alongside head of civil service Francis Muthaura and postmaster-general Hussein Ali will also be asked to explain what role the police played in the 2008 post-election violence, according to evidence released to them by prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo.

The prosecutor has released to the three suspects, 154 documents which he intends to use as evidence for the confirmation hearing. He is relying on material collected on Mungiki which includes media reports associating Mr Kenyatta and other Central Kenya MPs with Mungiki. The deputy prime minister denies there is a link between him and the outlawed gang.

Mr Kenyatta will also be explaining if he was among politicians allied to President Kibaki who were reported to have met Mungiki leaders to plan attacks in Nairobi and Naivasha.

The evidence shows that the information is mostly from accounts recorded by human rights groups, including the Human Rights Watch and the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights. Some of the information however is from local and international media reports.

Mr Muthaura, who chaired the National Security Council and Mr Ali, who was Police Commissioner will find themselves explaining how the police reacted to the violence and if they collaborated with outlawed gangs especially Mungiki.

The two will also be required to explain the role of the police in extrajudicial killings that were reported in the country prior to the 2007 elections

Mr Ali is also expected to tell the ICC whether he gave instructions, as claimed by some of his juniors then, to officers in the force to either shoot to kill or release suspects.

In particular, the list of evidence has witness who claimed that Mr Ali asked his juniors to releases members of the Chinkororo and Sungusungu gangs who had been arrested. Mr Muthaura, due to his position in the Office of the President could also find himself explaining the exit of Mr Stanley Murage the adviser to the President on strategic policy from State House in 2008.

There are however two more batches of evidence that the prosecutor is yet to release to the three suspects before their hearing on September 29.

“The Prosecution notes that it has no materials which were obtained from or belonged to the suspects,” Mr Moreno-Ocampo said while releasing the evidence which had been collected before December 15 last year.

The other Kenyans facing cases at the ICC are Eldoret North MP William Ruto, radio presenter Joshua Sang and Tinderet MP Henry Kosgey.

Fears From The Future Part 2

Uploaded by standardgroupkenya on Mar 10, 2010

Just where are the arms that are finding their way into the homes of individuals on all sides of the communal divides in the Rift Valley? And what is the government doing with this information, which has been offered up to them a number of times by witnesses, security agents and perpetrators of crimes in 2008? The inside story probed deeper into these questions, and found a link to large scale arming of disturbing proportions. Are government agents involved in the arming of communities, and the fanning of flames of ethnic hatred on the ground? Heres part two of the inside story, fears from the future

When people watch? this clip you will leave them with no choice but to arm themselves or prepare for ethnic battles if things happen to go bad in 2012. Iteere heads to Uganda over Migingo standoff

Updated 10 hr(s) 35 min(s) ago
By CYRUS OMBATI

Commissioner of police Mathew Iteere leads a high powered Government delegation to Uganda next week to discuss the way forward in the ongoing standoff between the two countries over Migingo Island.

Iteere and the team of officials from the Office of the President are expected in Kampala on Monday for two days to iron out remaining issues over the island.

The team is expected to meet with the Ugandan Inspector General of Police Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura for discussions.

The leaders will also discuss other regional security matters, the officials said.

Kenya has deployed 40 security personnel on the island in a move that has caused unease from their Ugandan counterparts.

The Kenyan police deployment is part of a resolution by a committee of Kenyan and Ugandan ministers at a recent meeting in Nairobi.

Kenya was represented by Internal Security minister George Saitoti and Lands minister James Orengo in the meeting.

The team agreed to complete a stalled survey in three months.

In the meantime, both countries would deploy their security forces on the island surrounded by fish-abundant waters.

The Kenyans arrived on the disputed island in Lake Victoria on Monday.

The Kenyan flag is flying on Migingo for the first time in the history of the island.

Uganda has about 30 uniformed and plain-clothes officers on the island.

The officers, trained in marine and border security operations will jointly man the island with the Ugandans.

The Ugandans have been guarding and collecting levies on Migingo since 2004. It is not clear how the issue of levies will be handled for now.

No accommodation had been prepared for the Kenyans on the densely populated Migingo, which reportedly forced them to set up base on Ugingo Island, 50 metres away.

The team will manage the disputed island alongside their Ugandan counterparts until the rocky isle’s ownership is determined.

A survey on the island was abandoned after the Ugandan team left abruptly.

Preliminary findings had shown Migingo and Ugingo were Kenyan territory based on historical maps and GPRS systems.

President Kibaki had stated that Migingo and Ugingo islands belonged to Kenya.

This was after some leaders protested the occupation by the Ugandans.

Kibaki said Kenya would opt for diplomacy rather than force to resolve disputes with her neighbours.

The Ugandans recently seized the neighbouring Ugingo Island, which had all along been uninhabited, prompting Kenyan leaders to demand action, saying the move was “a joke taken too far by a hostile neighbour”.

KIBAKI DID NOT TRUST MILITARY- WIKILEAKS
Saturday, 12 March 2011 00:02 BY ISAAC ONGIRI

PRESIDENT Kibaki rejected Chief Mediator Kofi Annan’s advise to order the military into the streets to quell the 2007-08 post-election violence fearing for ethnic divisions within the armed forces, Wikileaks has revealed.

In a US diplomatic cable dispatched from Addis Ababa by Ambassador Donald Yamamoto after a meeting between Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi and US Assistant Secretary of State Dr Jendayi Frazer in February 2008, Annan told the Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that Kibaki had rejected the proposal.

Annan had suggested to Kibaki that he should have allowed limited deployment of the army as violence spilled out across Kenya after the disputed December 27, 2007 presidential elections. The cable is sub-titled: Kenya in a dangerous position.

Frazer, who had a candid discussion with Zenawi on Kenya, shared Kibaki’s concerns over divisions in the military and expressed fears the situation could degenerate into a coup d’etat against Kibaki if ethnic divisions in the military became pronounced over the violence.“Frazer noted that Secretary Rice had recently spoken with Annan, and Annan mentioned that he had suggested to Kibaki that he bring the military out in a limited way, but that Kibaki demurred based on concerns regarding ethnic divisions within the military,” the diplomat wrote in the cable dated June 2, 2008.

The cable reports that Frazer feared a coup against Kibaki could degenerate into a civil war in Kenya.“The Kikuyu response could lead to civil war, as many Kikuyu fundamentally don’t believe that the election was stolen and are incensed by the violence that the opposition is encouraging,” Frazer reportedly said.

At the time Rwandan President Paul Kagame suggested a military solution for the Kenyan conflict in which over 1,300 people died and over were 300,000 displaced.

The Rwandan leader who spoke from Kigali as the world focused on the Kenyan situation prescribed a militarised solution to restore stability as the situation appeared to worsen.

Apart from being the President, Kibaki is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces (C-in-C) while General Jeremiah Kianga is the Chief of the General Staff (CGS).

The Ethiopian PM on his part expressed his misgivings on the military’s loyalty to Kibaki saying it may not be consolidated. “While the military may not quit, they will not be monolithically behind Kibaki, which is why some Kikuyus are turning to the militia instead,” Zenawi said.

Zenawi however regretted the use of Mungiki and other militias in the violence against civilians. “It has to be made clear to the Kikuyu establishment that ethnic cleansing is unacceptable as a response to the violence and that they cannot ‘fight fire with fire’ or use militias to fight on their behalf,” the Ethiopian leader reportedly said.

Yesterday a senior ODM minister for the first time revealed to The Star that Kenya could have been plunged in civil war if Raila Odinga had accepted advice by two members of the ODM Pentagon to declare himself President.

“Two senior members of the ODM who sat in the powerful Pentagon put pressure on the PM at the Parliamentary Group meeting held on 31st January, 2007, at Orange House to declare himself the President,” said the minister.

The minister said the Pentagon members had advised that a press conference be convened where Raila was to declare himself the President-elect.

The minister, who cannot be quoted due to the sensitivity of the matter, said two top lawyers qualified as commissioners of oath — one from Nyanza the other from Rift Valley — had been tasked to swear in Raila at a brief ceremony they intended to have televised live.

Raila however declined to take the oath and refused to declare himself President saying it would escalate the “already too bad situation” and increase the casualties.

Yesterday, Wikileaks revealed that Frazer is reported to have said that dealing with Raila and finding him culpable for anything had become difficult. Frazer said it was difficult because “Odinga is an excellent communicator and very good at playing the victim and the media love the concept of the ‘good guy’ versus the ‘bad guy’.”

Frazer, according to the cable, told Zenawi that President Kibaki was furious with Raila whom he believed was behind the violence.

But Frazer believed Kibaki had an upper hand than Raila in stopping the violence and bringing stability as he was the only decision-maker within PNU while Raila was sandwiched by his Pentagon colleagues in ODM and could not act alone.“Kibaki has the power of the state behind him and is the only decision-maker on his side, while Odinga is one of five making the decisions. Odinga is probably the most reasonable of the five, but he is constrained by the hardliners within his coalition,” Frazer said in the cable.

Frazer accused Pentagon member William Ruto of being double-faced, presenting one face to the international community and a different one to the local people.
