Dr. Mutua
  Â
Now that the patriotic Kenyans have reclaimed their country back, please don’t go back to Saudi Arabia without bading us good bye. It is regretable that you betrayed your country and your peasant parents to satisfy your stomach.Â
  Â
It is very sad that Kenya had to bleed to this extent because of people like you. While Dedan Kimathi, Bildad Kagia, Koitalel arap Samoei, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and a few other selfless Kenyans fought for the emancipation of the Kenyans from the colonial yoke, and died without recognition, the home guards and sell-outs like Simeon Nyachae, John Michuki, Jomo Kenyatta, Daniel arap Moi, Mwai Kibaki et al  engaged in stealing and grabbing sphree that broke the world record. The Ndungu’ Land Report chronicled the damage that has been done to the Kenya people by the so-called Kenya’s first family.
  Â
Dr. Mutua, just like the days of those who grabbed during the era of Kenyatta and Moi  are coming to an end, those who misused their power like you during Kibaki’s misrule will account for thier inactions. My “friend”, as I told you during the election campaign of 2007, your days in Kenya are over. Please start packing your bags so that you can go where you fit.Unfortunately, you will run, but you will never hide from the arms of true justice.
  Â
It does not matter how far you will run since the reality is that you will never hide yourself from your past misdeeds. The rule of law will finally catch up with people like you who abused power with impunity.
  Â
May God’s mercy be with  you wherever you will be.

I agree with Gordon Teti 1000% Mr Mutua, among others are wholy to blame for most of what transpired in the aftermath of the elections. What really annoyed and shocked me was his comment about H.E. Mr. Kufuor coming to Kenya “to have a cup of tea with Mr. Kibaki”. How could he say such a childish thing on a Head of State? It was a most stupid, undiplomatic ridiculous thing to say, while Kenyans were dying and being driven away from their usual abodes!!!! I will never forgive him. And to make it worse, nobody in the government corrected that silly remark. There are times silence is better. It is high time a better person was posted in that job, Kenyans are not stupid as Mutua tends to think. If anything, he is the most stupid guy to ever to hold that post. He should have some feelings for the suffering majority. I never support my boss stupidly. By so doing, you do them a great disservice. Thanks be to GOD for saving Kenya from the jaw of sharks. May HE guide Raila and his team to serve Kenya for a better, peaceful life. Kibaki should just retire now for his own peace of mind. Kenyans, it is my prayer that we treat each other as brothers and sisters and forget about the enmity brought about by the flawed presidential election. It was an eye-opener, and those who don’t see it that way are not worth living.
GOD bless Kenyans, and my sympathy to those who lost loved ones, and the displaced citizens.
The likes of Alfred Mutua, Martha Karua, Wetangula, Mutula Kilonzo, Mungatana etc (and they are many in the PNU) have become irrelevant in the present Kenya. They are living in a fake world.
To me Mutau is a clown not worth listening to. He is so out of touch with reality that he has become a nuisance. What a pity it is the tax payers who are bearing the burden of supporting Mutua’s luxurious life!!! Whenever I see their faces on TV, I feel like puking.
God help us.
Dr. Mutua may have made some missteps, as any other person would do, but am flabbergasted that some of us deem that he is to blame for the avarice in our politicians, and the crimes commited by some of our ‘heroes’ in the name and greed for power. We are far from reclaiming Kenya…it is not suprising that many that think that the presence of raila and group in government is ‘reclaiming’ our country are people who are not in the country! Fact – I would rather Karua, Wetangula, etc and some in the PNU crowd any day to the likes of Ntimama, Kosgey and Rooto – not that they are the ideal, just that they are less tainted…and shudder to imagine that we now have to deal with both!! My prophecy is that we are not going to see any better development record from this mongrel of a government, though we may be fortunate that they have no option but to facilitate a constitutional review – hopefully an appropriate review and not one guided by greed for positions and power! I cant wait for the day when the current PNU and ODM principals will not be a factor in our politics!
You have spoken like a human being but not like a Kenyan, pardon me for making such sentiment. Dr. Mutua even up to now as we speak I cannot figure out his duties especially in the grand collation. Were it not because of the likes of Mutua,Michuki,Watangula who was also herd commenting on Mugabe like a true democrat we would not have such a mess were it not because of them Kivuitu would have announced the genuine result.Let me assure you that the grand collation will last and Kenyans wil get what they have been praying for since time immemorial New constitution.
God bless Kenya.
The character of Mutua tells alot about his sisters. If you marry them, you will be betrayed even by your children.
Mutua is a real Mkamba,he is like Kalonzo Musyoka the VP who has been in the government even when Bishop Alexanda Muge was being assassinated, tribal clashes and the death of Ouko.He is a born again who never quit bad groups.
Dr. Alfred Mutua is fit for the job of Government Spokesman.
It’s not every day that I get to stumble upon an article that reeks of nothing but malice. But these particular ones are, to say the least, works of biased thinkers, and could at best be described as lacking in any objective analysis.
Both writers, in their freedom of expression, which the law of this land and the Kenyan government upholds chose to do a mudslinging at the character of the Government Spokesman of Kenya, Dr. Alfred Mutua, a man who earned his title of doctorate vide hard work and academic excellence.
I believe the role of the Government Spokesman in any country is collecting information about what is happening inside the Administration and around the country, and getting that information to the media and the public in a timely and accurate fashion. I also believe Dr. Mutua has lived to that expectation and obligation.
The argument by one blog writer that the job should have been given to a lawyer, a political scientist, or someone with a background on international relations is foolhardy. Naturally this position has to be filled by an individual from news media background.
Any intelligent person will know that the job is purely Journalistic. The current holder of the office, Dr. Alfred Mutua is therefore in my conviction best suited for the job he does. The description of Dr. Mutua as an “idiot,” is pure personal and the writers on both blogs are waging a personal war when from the word go, they portray themselves as championing a public interest course.
The writers, I may be wrong, but I fear I am right, exhibited a high degree of idiocy on their part. And they admit even in their blogs that Dr. Mutua is “much more learned than the rest of Kenyans whose names begin with mere Mr. Miss, or Mrs.” The inference that Dr. Mutua should “shut up” is therefore in my observation, mediocre.
How could anyone contemplate a situation where a person whose job description is to speak, to shut up! as these advocates of doom would like us to believe? The position being held by Dr. Mutua requires a person who is intelligent in the ways and understands the politics of the country and the world, these qualifications, Dr. Mutua meets and even beyond.
From the expressions by both bloggers, I see a duo whose understanding of the works of media is shallow, and I also see a pack of persons with skewed thought, with aim and intention of spoiling the good name of Dr. Mutua and the government he serves.
I see persons who are intent on pampering their selfish egos. Of course as a patriotic Kenyan I believe that Dr. Mutua is working in the best interest of this nation and that he is working for me. That’s why I am bothered as a Kenyan when I read such egocentric, malicious correspondences from persons I would naturally think are knowledgeable.
Dr. Mutua’s role requires him –as an obligation- to make sure that Kenyan people are getting an accurate account of what is going on in the country. That means the spokesman must essentially not be misleading to the citizenry. One forum through which he executes this mandate is the weekly press briefings usually held at Kenyatta International Conference Centre, where his office is located. In these briefings he usually responds to questions from reporters. The responses emerging therefrom are disseminated to the public vide various news outlets. I will repeat it here that Dr. Mutua has exceeded on this role; I faithfully believe he executes his mandate in a professional manner. But of course I also believe that in life you can’t please everyone. Even Jesus Christ himself couldn’t.
