Dear brethrens and sisters from Gikuyu community:
Uhuru Kenyatta’s father, Jomo Kenyatta, grabbed an estimated 500,000 acres of public land. Most of this land is in Central Kenya which means that the land belongs to the Gikuyu Community. I want you to listen to me carefully.
Please DEMAND that Uhuru Kenyatta surrenders this land effective immediately. This land is enough to host all the 250,000 displaced Gikuyus from RV. In fact if Uhuru surrenders this land, each displaced Gikuyu will have 2 acres of land (enough to build a home and grow food crops!).
I do not need to remind you that the land grabbed by Kenyatta was YOUR land.
Thank you.
Dr. Fred S Masinde.

IT IS TRUE THAT LAND GRABBERS IN CENTRAL PROVINCE MADE MAU MAU FIGHT MEANINGLESS BECAUSE THE FIGHT FOR LAND WAS RENDERED USELESS. WHEN KENYA ATTAINED INDEPENDENCE,THE MAU MAU FIGHTERS FOUND THAT LAND HAD ALREADY BEEN GIVEN TO COLONIAL COLLABORATORS WHO WERE ALSO HOMEGUARDS. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WITH LAND IN CENTRAL PROVINCE INCLUDING KENYATTA WHO JOINED THIER CLUB UPON THE ATTAINMENT OF UHURU. THESE ARE LIKE OF KARUME, MICHUKI, JONJO,WAMAE ,AND SOME OTHERS.
THESE PEOPLE UNDERMINED THE MAU MAU FIGHTERS AND THE CONTINUED TO ENJOY THE FRUIT OF UHURU WHICH THE FOUGHT AGAINST. THERE ARE NOW THE LANDLORDS AND LANDLADIES.
PEOPLE WHO HAVE DISPLACED FROM RIFT VALLEY SHOULD ASK
THESE LAND GRABBERS TO GIVE THEM BACK THE LAND WHICH THEY FOUGHT FOR DURING MAU MAU. MAU MAU CIVIL WAR WAS ABOUT KIKUYU LAND IN CENTRAL PROVINCE NOT LAND IN RIFT VALLEY.KENYATTA DID A LOT OF DESERVICE TO KIKUYU HE SETTLED IN RIFT VALLEY WITHOUT THE CONSET OF THE
KALINYIN ,MASAII,POKOT,ETC WHO ARE OWNERS OF THE LAND.
INFACT,EVEN THE BRITISH HAD ASKED FOR THE CONSET OF THE
OWNERS BEFORE THE SETTLED. LET THE DISPLACED ASKED
FOR ANCETRAL LAND.THESE WILL BRING PEACE IN KENYA IF
THESE GRABBERS CAN ACCEPT TO GIVE AWAY THIS GRABBED LAND TO THE NEEDY.
Please keep this conversation going as Agenda #4 is being tackled at Serena.
Kenyans need to hear more and more about this.
Dr. Masinde,
Please do not insite us, even if e get that land we still need our rightfully acquired land in the RV; who said we need free things, the fact that kenyatta stole does not mean we should go stealing peoples land and leave what we acquired legally in RV. Do u mean that??????????????????????????????????????
Such a pity that your shallow mind and self is preceded by the “Dr” suffix!! What kind of Dr. thinks so shallowly esp. in this day in age when the world is so global. Kenya is a soverign state governed by a constitution that allows its citizens to own land in any part of the country they please. The agikuyu can settle wherever they please, even in your own neighbourhood of the Kisumu City. Stop promoting propaganda here.
Same then should happen to also the almost to 100 000 Luos living, working, owning land n properties in the Coast province…..furthermore they take their earnings to support their relatives in Nyanza
You see how such arguments wont take Kenya anywhere…………
The solution is with the harmonizing of the constitution n forming a federal system of governance (but not majimboism)……..n also re-education of Kenyan citizens ……………..PROBLEM IS THAT EVERY KENYAN THINKS HE IS A POLITICIAN………
According to your logic ,the British too had the right to settle in any part of Kenya as they deemed fit.The laws that they made in the legislative council suited them, and no one could accuse them of any wrong doing as they operated legally.
Well, Mau Mau movement did not buy into that logic. For as long as the British occupied prime agricultural lands in KIKUYU territory especially around Mt.Kenya after displacing countless KIKUYUS from THEIR land, the Mau Mau protested violently consequently driving the settlers from THEIR land.
Well and Good, but what did Kenyatta do? Read once again Dr. Fred S Masinde’s piece above for clues. In brief the father of the Kikuyu nation wickedly discovered that the political tide had turned in favour of himself and his kin after ”INDEPENDENCE” and this implied that he shamefully, had to act like the British colonialist in order to empower his community and himself. The British displaced the Africans and abused their rights out of RACISM.
Kenyatta too was guided by a concept when he
exported poor and rich Kikuyus to RV and that concept was similar to that of the British. To be direct, it had RACIST overtones and no less different from the content
in colonial British RACISM.
It was black on black racism, why should it be called tribalism when the character of Kenyatta and Kikuyu self-empowerment strategy were identical in every analytical way possible with that of the British.
A little history should be illuminatingly handy while on this subject. Recall the population boom in Europe and the poverty that accompanied it after WW I. This among other factors encouraged the European racists of that time to hold tight on the territories that they possessed in Africa and other parts of the world with the obvious purpose of exploitation.
Ever had of what LEBENSROM was? It was the Hitlerian racist policy that justified their occupation of foreign lands due to LACK OF LAND SPACE at home.
Mind you this idea and its implementation was LEGAL from the German Hitlerian point of view. It was as legal as Kenyatta’s decision to export surplus Kikuyus to the RV to solve the population increase problems of the Kikuyus.
Both of these people Kenyatta or Hitler and others like Churchill, were motivated by supremacist thinking in behaving the way they did against their neighbours social economic needs; white supremacy on the European side and Black supremacy on the Keyatta Kikuyu side.
Naturally communities that believe in supremacist thinking are united in their desire to oppress other communities, who they perceive to be inferior, so as to empower themselves.
For as long as the RV people are concerned, in the mind and heart of the black supremacist Kikuyus, the RV Pokots, Maasai, Kallenjins are nothing but vermin or bedbugs that stand in their way to self-empowerment and should never merit any kind of social economic development measures; precisely, their social development should instead be undermined with the purpose of making them function as slaves, servants or labourers for the superior KIkuyus.
The Maasai for instance are a good example of one of the communities that have suffered the most under the progress of the Kikuyu on their long march to economic independence through exploitation. Please read elsewhere on the nett for the details of Maasai social economic disempowerment strategies. A few examples will suffice here; Lake Naivasha – Maasai squeezed out of the resource use while Kikuyus given priority; Laikipia – Kikuyus run tourist sites while Maasai roles are surbordinate, their is no dairy industry, leather industry in Maa territory where the chief economy is livestock management etc. etc. These were just a few examples
of pauperization policies put in place to slow and frustrate Maasai social development. And while that policy is enforced the Kikuyus are encouraged to prosper as rapidly as possible by other specific policies.
And finally to Mr. ”Otieno” above: The Kikuyus CAN’T live whereever they please in the country WITHOUT THE LEGAL CONSENT of the indigeinious people.
And please this is said for the sake of enduring peace. Kenyatta would’ve agreed with you totally given his black supremacist logic and his disdain for Kalenjin and Maasai life.
Bear in mind the scarcity of resources in the land. There’s no allowance here for justifying a LEBENSROM mentality ala Churchill’s or A.Hitler and Kenyatta.
Finally for an enduring peace RETURN to your Native Homeland with the help of government resources stolen by the Kenyatta family and others who took the land that was supposed to be rewarded to the Mau Mau fighters.

Its amazing that we are all refered to as ‘Kenyans’ when talking about land issues, however when talking about jobs and public appointments then its Ok to associate individuals with their tribe.
Both of these issues must be adressed fairly and firmly.
It is very sad that well educated people(judging from your comments) can still ague like that. Hallooo..! This is the 21st century. We are all the same – kikuyu, luo, kalenjin. They say race is skin-deep, but what about tribe – how deep is our differences. Only as deep as we make them because we are the same in all aspects – both brain and brawn.
As to the land that Kenyatta allegedly stole, if you have any evidence then you would do all of us a favour to bring it forward in court. I am not saying he is innocent, but at what expense do we want to follow this up. How many more must die for us to realise that that path will not take us anywhere?
I REALLY FEEL THAT ALL THESE ISSUES, IF NOT TACKLED CAREFULLY WITH A SOBER MIND, WILL NOT LEAD US ANYWHERE.
SEEMINGLY, PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HIDING THE TRUTH WHILE CAPITALIZING ON IT.
SINCERELY SPEAKING, HAVE YOU HEARD OF SOMEONE COMPLAINING OF THE WHOLE TRIBE TAKING THE LAND FORCEFULLY?
HERE IN THE RIFT VALLEY, MANY FORMS OF INTERMARRIAGES HAVETAKEN PLACE, BUT STILL TRIBAL ANIMOSITY CONTINUES. WHY?
IF ONE CANT ACCEPT THAT BAD BLOOD WAS BROUGHT BY THE SAME PEOPLE, WHOM WE STILL SEE THEIR DESCENDANTS DOMINATING KENYAN LEADERSHIP,THEN IT IS US TO BLAME, BECAUSE WE DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO, AND WORSE, WE STILL GO FOR ADVICES FROM THE SAME PEOPLE.
I COMPLETE BY SAYING THAT FOR YOU TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, YOU FIRST INVESTIGATE THE ROOT CAUSE, AND WITHOUT FEAR OR FAVOR, TACKLE THE PROBLEM. IF WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO, THEN LET NATURE PREVAIL, AS IT IS BECAUSE WE ARE DEFEATED. WORST IS THAT NATURE USUALLY DOES NOT SPARE ANY ELEMENTS, SINCE IN BIBLE, THERE IS WHAT THEY CALL SIN OF THE DESCENDANTS.
EVEN THE ISRAELITES ARE SILL FIGHTING OTHER NATIONS AROUND THEM. MANY NATIONS HAVE COME OUT ONLY WITH TEMPORARY SOLUTIONS, BUT AVOIDED THE ROOT CAUSE. THAT HAS NEVER STOPPED THEM FROM CONTINUING THE FIGHT.
Let’s see . . . people calling themselves ‘doctors’ and still thinking ‘tribally’ . . . Kenyans have a long, long way to go. What a pity!
Haven’t you heard? Dr Masinde is here to ‘help’ the Kikuyus earn their rights . . . very funny. (‘Dr Masinde for Kikuyus land rights’ is it not?)
Yes, the world (Kenya included) is corrupt. Yes people grab land, people rig elections (Kenya among the leading) . . . whatever, whatever, whatever . . . but if you still walk around thinking “my tribe this my tribe that” especially after what our beautiful country went through in December 2007 and January 2008 . . . then good luck ‘Dr Masinde’ (what is you area of expertise? PhD in Tribalism? Just wondering). On a second thought, don’t bother answering, as it is crystal clear in your post above. You sound like one of those people who blame Kikuyus even when you fail an exam set by . . . where are are you again? USA by any chance? Yes, you do sound like one of those people who blame Uhuru et al for failing an overseas exam . . .
I get the feeling this post was made on this particular site to pass a certain message . . . or are you just trying to sell you ideas locally, Dr Masinde? Ever heard of a catalyst? You are one.
Let’s not put shame on the word ‘doctor’ shall we! “Ain’t cute at all, Doc” (as Americans would say).
