    Friends,

We all have heard of Mzee Orinda Ndege and how he suffered the most during the clashes of early last year.

He lost his 2 wives and 9 children in one morning of madness.

Up till now, we only read and hear about him whenever mention is made of clash victims, but we do nothing about it.

In March, a group of friends came together and enabled some of us to visit Mzee at his home. We will be making such a visit again on 18th December 2009.

We kindly invite your support, both moral and material, to enable our visit be a good Christmas Gift. Kindly share this invitation with people of goodwill.

    Kindly read the enclosed invitation.

    Peace and blessings.

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

I need to be back-tracked on this. To all those who made the contribution, I thought that the Committee that was charged with the mandate to handle the Orinda case, came to an agreement, that the money be handed over to him then. Or was the agreement to hold the money in a suspense account till later date? For I have been thinking that that money was long handed over to Mzee.

Now, according to Odhiambo T. O., the committee headed by him, is still holding this money!!!! Can somebody shed a little light for me on this?

I would be willing to support further, but Gentlemen, there must be a focused purpose. Else we will ever be contributing, yet no action will have been taken in Months. That to me is justice delayed. That way we are not doing Mzee Ndege any favors.

    Over to you Gentlemen.

    Folks,

No matter how important the mission might be, I would advice the forum to use common sense and a lot of intelligence today and the day after today.
Mzee Orinda Ndege is a very big material witness to the Hagues and his or his family members pictures should not be put into this big forum as Mr. Odhiambo has done.

There is a big problem in Kenya today where Mungiki witnesses are being eliminated and I do not think that those who financed Mungiki to do the things they did in Naivasha will be pleased to see Mzee Ndege`s photos anymore.

Unless this forum has got direct permission from Mzee Ndege to use his pictures and the forum is giving him security protection 24 hours a day then you can move on with those pictures and use his name. So please do the right thing at the right time and nobody will get hurt.

We’ve had pictures of Mzee Orinda and his new family here before. What Odhiambo T. Oketch is doing is to try and help in the reconstruction of Mzee Orinda’s life. Having pictures is proof that he’s doing that, especially to the well-wishers who have contributed towards that noble cause.

Sorry to say, but just because Mzee Orinda lost his family during the PEV does not make him a big material witness, unless he can identify one of the perpetrators of the heinous act, which, according to the little I know, he cannot do, given that the act was committed by strangers.

As it stands, Mzee Orinda is not even in hiding or under protection from any agency, from what I know, so your position, Mr Nyandoto, is quite baseless.

PROTECTION OF CITIZENS BY MINISTRY OF INTERNAL SECURITY

The minister of Internal security must seriously take to heart the very fear the citizens have for their safety. MPs have expressed their fear. Some people in the past have expressed their fear but have ended up being killed mysteriously notwithstanding their reporting to the police.

Tom Mboya and J.M.Kariuiki once reported to the police that they were being shot at but there was a police retort that ”they are shooting at us too!” They both ended up being assassinated.

Let the honorable minister of Internal Security Professor George Saitoti take these threats seriously to heart and spare us the repeat of nightmares.

IN THE NAME OF JUSTIC AND UNITY OF HE NATION

Let Prof George Saitoti, the minister on Internal Securiry, take swift action to provide Mzee Orinda Ndege with security just in case those who killed his two wives and nine children get him before he pours out his soul to Prof Luis Moreno Ocampo.

Prof Saitoti has a plate full of work to do to save our country from more suffering. Some of his duties include, among others the protection of Mzee Orinda Ndege, all citizens, MPs, etc.

It is a tall task, Hon Minister but worth doing in the name not only of our country but also of posterity. Period, Mr Minister!

How about the many IDP’s in the camps? When are we going to visit them?

  10. odhiambo okecth

I am keen on one Mzee Orinda Ndege.

In case you arrange to visit any IDPs, please let us know and give us your itinerary and we will be willing to join in and support.

I honestly believe it is time we came together to heal our country. However, your attitude has betrayed any good that might come from you.

    Peace and blessings,

    Odhiambo T Oketch
