Kibaki a big Disgrace, Perpetrating Tribalism

We Kenyan are strange people. How can few greedy persons from one community pursuing their own agenda of their own remaining in power come next election hold other communities at ransom for such a long period.

Why don’t our leaders mobilize their supporters to demonstrate like the Philippines? I think Kenya is for all Kenyans not one community to dictate to others as if others are foreigners.

Now look why Kibaki can’t relinquish the six senior cabinet post to ODM and other communities. Besides the huge budgets they attract they also:

Ministry of Local Authority – controls all the councils and councillors and is a key channel to mobilize and keeping political support countrywide. They can get any information as far as politics is concerned anywhere in the country.

Justice and Constitutional Affairs – The Mt. Kenya will not allow any constitutional change that will not favor their interest and get them out of power very easier. Going by 2005 referendum, they want to maintain the ministry to frustrate any meaningful constitutional change.

Finance – this is the granary of the country. With their own in this ministry, they can stael and loot scandalously but who will question them if their own can protect them. With their focus on 2012 election, they seriously need this ministry to get state funds.

Internal Security – Successful campaigns in Africa require leaders to control state security for intimidation and harassment of opponents.

Energy – Is the major campaign tool. Remember the Kipipiri during Moi and recently Marakwet when Kiraitu tried to who the public to vote for PNU in exchange of rural electrification.

Travel to Central Province by road and come back. Pick a public vehicle and travel to Western Kenya and you will answer yourself why this ministry is more important.
