Knowing the diplomatic circles, I can tell you the 2 main reasons for embassies are 1) Being a good emissary to the host nation and foster relations and 2)Care for and assist nationals. I can tell you in the US, sending this guy Agego out back to Kenya is being greeted with excitement from many non- religious kenyans looking for fresh faces and ideas to take us to the future. It is really the USA that sets the tone for foreign relations and they tell their allies so that the west vote as a bloc. Thats why ppl refer to ‘the west’ to refer to the ideology then.

Sadly though, ppl get here and some are struggling while others are apathetic and the ones who care are bought in by the lure of power- Its a crazy free for all here at the capital of the western world and stakes are high. Whenever a prez or MP comes, tribes people flock, hoping to pay for and then later get free rides or rewards after elections. That aside Agego was the biggest mistake kenya made diplomatically. Beside insulting Obama even before he gave his diplomatic credentials, he was aloof and cold toward him and even refused to attend the inauguration Kenya Embassy party for Obama . The dumb 2 clowns ‘leading’ kenya back in Nbi realized this costly mistake too late after Obama snubbed Kenya in his past visit. They then hired a PR firm and Washington lobbyists to try and woo power back in vain. Meanwhile other african prez are having a field day here in DC being given all kinds of goodies, aid etc. So the only group that embraced Ogego was a kenyan conservative christian right group. Do you wonder how before the kenyan yes no ballot, some US christian group almost forced their say in the draft? (Google KC FA DC and you will see the fake farewell dinner that was held for this loser) . he then tries to claim credit for ”bringing business to Kenya” yet this company had planned all along to do so inconsequential of Agego. My point in all this is its important what you do in office, and so these guys should be held accountable.

I suggest you go to kenyastockholm dot com and you will see how the swedish are mobilizing against their errant diplomat. We need to hold the next incoming guy or gal so they are aware no more free rides.

The next person should lure US firms, use Obamas heritage to the max and get this companies almost collapsing to open assembly lines in kenya with cheap labor, get Kenyans to partner with the 101 wazungus dying to do tourism, safaris or such ventures. We need to think develoipment else it wil be the same tribal games, MPs coming to DC to hoodwink kenyans, fondle blondes at taxpayer expense.
