Reports Leo Odera Omolo In Kisumu City
A Catholic priest in Kenya’s Eastern Province, Kitui district was early this week arraigned before the court charged with the two counts of defilement and that of touching a private part of a girl without her consent.
Father John Mutua Munywoki, it was alleged committed the offence on the night of June 5,at Zombe Market in Kitui district6.
The priest denied the charges and was released by the resident magistrate Elizabeth Juma Osoro on bail of Kshs 100,000 with the surety of similar amount. The case will come up for hearing on August 5th,2010.
The charges against the priest stated that on night of June 5/6, at Zombe Market in Kitui district, he allegedly defiled a girl aged 16 years. The second count alleged that the priest had touched the girl’s private part without her consent.
The court was told that the girl is a student at the nearby Zombe Girl High School which falls within the Zombe Catholic Diocese where the priest works. Instead of dropping the girl to the school, the priest drove to the marketplace where he allegedly defiled the girl and indecently touched her private part without her consent.
Over the last decade, ther5e has been a wave of allegations against the Catholic Priests worldwide of sexual abuse against children.
The complainant is a Form Three student at Zombe Girls Secondary School and was on her way to the school at the material time of the incident.
Over the last decade, there has been a wave of allegation of sexual abuse cases involving Catholic Priests..The highest number has been in the United States of America followed by Ireland,Australia and Canada.
Investigative reports found that around 4,392 priests in the US had abused children ever since 1950.
The Vatican has vehemently denied that Catholic priests are prone to sexual abuse or photophobia.
In September 2009 Archbishop Silvsno Tomasi officially declared,” We know now that the last 50 years somewher5e between 15 per cent of 5 per cent.

Also let them understand that no angel exists on earth and that priesthood is between them and their God even if they want to lie to us!

CATHOLIC PRIESTS.
Lots have been said or written about these devilish priests in the Catholic church all over the world. It is satanic and very achaic behaviour that is not expected from the person who is supposed to represent God in the church. Why should they behave or act very immoral to fellow human beings especially with kids?. These priests should face the full wrathe of the law.In most cases Mission stations where these priests stay or live are highly respected and nobody can even suspect that the priests turns them to be Sodom and Gomora. Probably they are hiding in the church as priests yet they know very well what they are doing is not what they were ordained to practise.
Shame on them.

no one is perfect in this world, and hence we should halt this awkward and achaic behaviour of talking ill of God’s shepherds. we all need prayers and finally its only a few who are attempted since we are all human beings. there are many catholic priests who have really been exermplary to us all
