I Honorable Akeem Bello pledges to unite all Nigerians abroad, “Our estimated 20 million Nigerians in International Communities must have a unified voice in the governance of Nigeria; we must enhance the economic prosperity of our people; we must address the lack of security in our nation; tackle corruption; and provide technological exposure from abroad into Nigeria with the entrepreneurial muscle needed to take advantage of the current development climate in Nigeria”.

The conglomerate organization for Nigerians abroad,  All Nigerian American Congress, Inc. (ANAC), held their summer congressional session in the Hoosier city of Indianapolis, Indiana at the downtown Marriott. At this conference, a number of the Board of Directors and Trustees were elected which culminated on Saturday evening with the election of the Chairman of the Board, the Honorable Akeem Bello.   Professor Issa Odidi, Presidential Candidate for the New Democrat Party of Nigeria (ND) in the recent Nigerian Election,  was considered as a potential Chairman for the ANAC Board.  However, he stated that he was only interested in holding a Board seat in order to focus his attention on the advancment of the ANAC Canadian chapters from Toronto to Vancouver as well as other ANAC International Chapters in Europe, Asia, Australia and the African Continent, and, therefore, placed his full support behind the Honorable Akeem Bello for the position of Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Bello in his acceptance speech congratulated the other two contenders, Dr. Abdulateef Kareem,  Chairman for Illinois Chapter and Secretary General of ANAC and Honorable Dshaikh Izuchukwu, ANAC Chairman for the California chapter.  Thereafter, he immediately announced the next ANAC congressional session heading for Toronto, Canada, where efforts will be to vitalize the All Nigerian European Congress for the UK, efforts to get All Nigerian Asian Congress for Nigerians in Japan, China, India, All Nigerian Australian Congress and All Nigerian African Congress for Nigerians in the African continent.

Mr. Bello vowed to unite all Nigerians, engage the leadership in Nigeria and move the agenda of Nigerians abroad to center stage in Nigerian polity and governace. (As we know Honorable Akeem Bello is the Chief Deponent in the Class-Action lawsuit to secure Nigerians Abroad their alignable rights to register and vote from anywhere in our world -  the anticipated Federal Court ruling is scheduled for Friday,  27th of June 2008 in Abuja, Nigeria).

In a Sunday morning strategy session of the newly constituted Board of Trustees, the group layed out a road map for consolidating the entire Nigerian International Community, bringing together all the different regional and tribal groups of Nigerians in the International community and most especially a specific path to obtain economic and technological muscle for the different Nigerian-owned corporate groups in the International Community as a first installment in the global involvement of Nigerian Diaspora in the 2020 development goal of Nigeria that centered around his commitment to unite all Nigerians abroad as previously read in his quote above at the beginning of this article, “Our estimated 20 million Nigerians in International Communities must have a unified voice in the governance of Nigeria; we must enhance the economic prosperity of our people; we must address the lack of security in our nation; tackle corruption; and provide technological exposure from abroad into Nigeria with the entrepreneurial muscle needed to take advantage of the current development climate in Nigeria”.

IT IS A GOOD MOVE BY THE NIGERIA IN DIASPORA TO BE CONCERN WITH THEIR SOCIAL ,ECONOMIC AND POLICAL WELLBEING OF NIGERIA. THEY HAVE COME TO KNOW THAT
BY BEING TOGETHER THEY CAN BRING POSITIVE CHANGES IN
THEIR SOCIATY AT HOME. THE ENLIGHTENED PEOPLE OF AFRICA HAVE LEFT LEADERSHIP OF OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRIES
DO MAD PEOPLE WHO SITTING ON THEIR SUBJECTS AS IF THEY
OWN THOSE COUNTRIES .IT IS INDEED VERY SAD TO SEE HOW
OUR LEADERS ARE MISUSING NATIONAL RESOURSES .

OTHER AFRICANS IN DIASPORA SHOULD COPY WHAT NIGERIANS
ARE DOING BY ENGAGING THEMSELVES TO THE LEADERSHIP OF
THEIR COUNTRY COLLECTIVELY.BY SO DOING,OUR RULERS WILL
START BEHAVING WELL BECAUSE THEY WILL KNOW THAT THEIR
ADMINISTRATION IS BEING WATCHED BY OTHER INTEREST GROUP .
