From GEOFFREY AJIKI
When the renowned South African Writer Allan Parton penned his book, CRY THE BELOVED COUNTRY, his main intention was to bring to light what the common folk of the Apartheid era thought of their government. He starts from the injustices that affects the society and which propels the young Absalom Khumalo who goes to the capital to look for his aunt Getrude venture into crime. Being used to life in the village, Absalom finds a totally different environment on reaching Johanesburg and instead of concentrating on what brought him,he joins criminal gangs that sprung up mainly in the hope of fighting the oppressive apartheid regime.Though their actions are partly justified,it reaches a point that they deviate from the initial goal and instead start stealing from the white settlers. Absalom finally murders a white settler who was trying to help Africans and who had dissaproved of the apartheid regime. His actions are no different from what the son of the founding father, the late Kenyatta’s son Uhuru is now doing.Being one of those who had the opportunity to be born and bred in State House and who watched as his father sowed the seeds of discord that is now affecting Kenya in the anme of tribalism, it surprises that Uhuru can bang tables in full glare of the cameras and stand infront of a gathering in Kikuyu to continue from where his father left by inciting the people against others who he terms as uncircumcised. It suddens me to see the sons of those who messed this country from independence stand up to continue from where their fathers left. What we want as Kenyans is totally different from what the Uhrus and the Kalonzos of this world want. They want to protect their wealth while we want to good governance. To achieve this , they have resorted to using shortcuts to intimidate the people and to install people in key positions to serve their intrests. These are opportunists who stuck with the old order and only moved when they felt that bthere was no way out for them.Kalonzo in particular worked with Kibaki and his cronies to protect the oppressive Moi regime which would have remained in power had it not been for the man they now refre to as their common enemy. While Raila and his colleagues were spending their time at the Nyayo tortureĀ chambers,Kalonzo was being driven around in big cars and never cared to fight for the democracy that he now wants to enjoy.Uhuru was probably miles away in Boston enjoying the money that his father had stolen from Kenyans. When KIbaki realized that the Mugumo tree he had put his hopes in could finally be cut,he jumped ship and joined an opposition which he had vehemently objected to its creation while under the shade of the Mugumo.Today, this people who were then united in protecting the status quo are all over messing up the country and sowing hatered among the people. The democracy that they opposed but that was won by gallant soldiers of this nation is being misused by the very people that were against it.If we continue to let this people divide us then we would not be able to blame anybody for our plight
UHURU KENYATTA HAS MORE TO LOSE
His father called non-Kikuyu wild animals (nyamu) or insects (dudu), thus effectively divided Kenya into Kikuyu and the rest. If I were Uhuru Kenyatta I would be very humble and I would not have thought of banging tables like an angry child let alone cutting innocent people’s necks with powered saws either, for the sake of maintaining tribal status quo.
Assassinating those people who fought most for his release, Jomo Kenyatta showed no gratitude the way his son who enjoyed Moi’s misgovernment until that was dislodged by the heroes like of Raila Amolo Odinga is now showing contempt for the Prime Minister just because the latter has intact prepuce. Uhuru should stop thinking with his sex organ and instead engage his brains fully for the sake of the Kenya nation at this risky time in human history that being a prince makes one an endangered species, lest he be ”egypted” or ”tunisiad”. He should have been forewarned by the flight of Mubarak’s son’s out of Egypt.
He should realise, if he has not yet, that Kenyans are keenly watching his body language let alone what oozes out of his GEMA mouth. He needs Kenyans more than Kenyans need him.
He could be very naive indeed if he thinks and believes that Kenyans are amused by his ill-acquired land, the size of Nyanza Province. If he pushes us too far with his tribal ego his land might end up being used under people power to relocate the IDPs (the IDPs could have been in the first place, if the likes of him were not mismanaging Kenya politics).
We are watching you Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta.
Your ”cousin” Githu Muigai whose appointment to the post of Attorney General has angered Kenyans, should be a lot wiser to turn down the post in the name of posterity. The Kenyatta genom no longer sell son of Jomo.
I wonder if the God of King David would indeed smile at another Kenyatta ruling his people in Kenya or elsewhere.
DR ODIDA OKUTHE
I’m surprised, I did not know that this thing called Uhuru is an empty shell devoid of any iota of leadership quality. He is at best the worst person to claim being a leader. Why bang the tables? It is evedent he is devoid of any wee bit of respect to even the ordinary people of kenya who were watching him misbehave on television. I have made a-u-turn and will support the elderly politicians, read the likes of Raila Amollo Odinga who have ‘big shock absorbers’ and can afford to smile in the face of all odds. True ….panapo wazee haparibiki mambo.
Say ain’t So Geoff!!!!, did Uhuru say it again???????. Did Uhuru attack the shape/model of PM’s: Rod, Digling, Monkey, Snake , the Pipe, Banana, the Rope, Hot dog, Sword. Big daddy, …!!.
After 2007 batched election, I thought the ” CIRCUMCISION” politics was put to rest when the great majority felt the PM won the election. In this election if I recall, he was not supposed to win because ” his “big daddy” was not clipped!.
It would be nice and fair if Uhuru and his supporters can answer the following questions:
* Does the shape of ones Rod makes them a good President/leader of a country?. If the answer is yes, how come your father, Moi and Kibaki all have ruled this country with “Iron fist” and little regard to rule of law?.In a follow up question, assuming that political leaders like: Tom Mboya, Jaramogi, Oneko and many others who fought for political freedom besides your father during colonial were not circumcised..are you saying that if these folks were alive to day none of them would be elected President in this country???.
It is very sad to see potential national leader like Uhuru resort to ” Digling” politics Where will these artificial requirements being set by KKK Cabal end?. Recently, it was stated by some of the KKK principals that you must be 50 years of age to run for Presidency in the next election and now “if you are not Circumcised you cannot be elected the President of this country”. How does Uhuru knows that PM is not Circumcised? or what is hang up with others people sexual organs???. You may want to Correct me if I am wrong, I thought the PM’s son or Nephew is married to a lady from Central province where Uhuru hail from..did Uhuru know this?. I hope Uhuru’s feelings and requirements for Circumcision for Presidency in this country will not prompt PNUs and Ruto followers to pass law to bar non-Circumcised people from holding public office in this country!!!!.
Mr. Geoff, don’t worry people with” full Rods” are patriot too and one of these days their time will come to lead this country of yours!!!!
Uhuru Kenyatta should first address the plight of the Internally displaced person[s] by allocating them part of the vast estates acquired by his father, the late President Kenyatta instead of pretending that he is a reformer by banging the tables. Are these the future leaders of tomorrow?
Dr. Okuthe, thank you so much for your stute observation “Uhuru should ..stop thinking with his Sex organ……”. Let me add to this your observation…God gave us two ends: one to sit on and one to think with. Can you imagine which end Uhuru is using to think with!!!!!!!!!!
MAY THE ALMIGHTY LOVING GOD BLESS UHURU KENYATTA. INCREASE HIM IN WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.DEAR GOD, KINDLY GIVE UHURU THE GRACE TO GO THROUGH THE TRIALS HE IS UNDERGOING AND PLEASE JEHOVAH NISSI, FIGHT FOR HIM. GIVE HIM VICTORY ALWAYS!!! UHURU, U R ON THE SPOT! THE WORLD IS PRAYING FOR YOU!! BE COURAGEOUS.
