Am writing to welcome your involvement and contribution to help facilitate the initiative of establishing a modern and Computerized Community Excellence Center in Kisumu-Kenya. This Center is envisaged to be at the fore-front of providing Practical Solutions to Social and Economic problems experienced by Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) in the Kisumu Communities and by extension, Kenya. A small community can have a great vision. When we traveled to Kisian-Kisumu, our feasibility study realized that more homeless children could not proceed properly with their livelihood dreams, we couldn’t deny the fact that there was an urgent need to construct an orphan care and support center that is much more than a residential place.
Vision Alive was founded in 2007 by the aggressive HIV/AIDS Care and Support provider cum Development expert Mrs Jayne Odessey who equally doubles as the Organization’s Executive Director. It was cofounded by a team of Charity minded individuals based in Kenya to ensure that the organization’s mission is disseminated to benefit people from the third world economies.
The organization’s founder and co-founders were driven by their courage to involve themselves in charity so as to prove that their philosophy of ‘Small is Beautiful’ could bring real and sustainable improvements to people’s lives.
Poverty, disease and illiteracy situation in Africa prompted the registration of the organization in Kenya under the Ministry of Gender, Sports, Culture and Social Services so as to bring forth remarkable achievements in the fight against socio-economic ills in Kenya.
The harambee is schedule to be held on the 26 June 2010 from 7.00 PM at Our Lady Help of Christians, 934 Hanover Ave. Allentown, PA 18109. The money raised will help complete the building you see in the home page of Vision Alive web site link below.

charity is so very rewarding but only if it is charity
Am very happy to read this article here, and congratulate the Rainbow Center with the achievements.
Please keep us posted about the current developments. The CEC needs to be more than a center that does well: it has to be a center of Excellence so that other communities around Africa can replicate the ideas and brighter futures for its youth are within reach.
We want to co-operate with microlending organizations, engineering initiatives, educational expertise, healthcare professionals to make the Rainbow CEC exceptional and a prime example for other communities,
in faith,
Kamiel
